The Rochester Rotary Club is preparing to welcome Spring with its biggest-ever Wine and Beer Tasting Fundraiser. After growing steadily for several years, the 2016 event was capped at 600 tickets. This year’s will have the same limit, but the food, wine, and silent auction will take the event to a whole new level.

The 2017 event, taking place on Friday, April 21st at 6:30pm, will boast almost 20 local restaurants, 8 wine and beer tasting tables that will please the most discerning connoisseur, and more auction items than ever before. Some of the most exciting include nights at the Royal Park Hotel, Week-long Stays at Condos in Florida, Rounds of Golf, Detroit Sports Tickets, and exquisite jewelry from Haig’s of Rochester.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said club President Tom Neveau. “We’ve maxed out the number of people the venue can accommodate, so we’re taking the experience to a whole new level. The music will be great, Bordine’s is always a fantastic venue, and the food and drink, well, let’s just say there won’t be anything to match it all year.”

As in previous years, the fundraiser will take place at Bordine’s Nursery on Rochester Road. Attendees will have a chance to preview their Spring Expo displays ahead of the public.  Entertainment will be provided by the Jazz and Tonic Trio.

Silent Auction leader Ron Lichtle added, “The proceeds go to a lot of amazing local charities like the Rochester Community House to Leader Dogs for the Blind and even international efforts to eliminate the last three known cases of Polio. I’d like to make this our biggest year yet.”
