President Wayne Hodges opened the virtual meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, then we recited the modified Four Way Test. The invocation was given by David Eardley, giving thanks for the day, and asking God's help for us to continue to respond as Rotarians should to this crisis. Virtual lunch was served.

There were 43 Rotarians present, and two guests: David Shellenbarger and Kelly Messing-Mirabito.

President Wayne announced to the club that Jeff Whitbey earned the 15th logon (handshake) this week, enjoy the week without fines Jeff!

Vince Mattina was happy to have his convertible out of storage, just in time for winter to come back...
John Somerville was happy to be able to enjoy the beautiful weather this past weekend.
Juliane Morian is happy that this week is teacher appreciation week, thank you teachers!
ROTARIAN OF THE WEEK
John Somerville gave the bejeweled trophy to Linda Eastman, for being a shining example of Service Above Self. Congrats Linda!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tim Crawford spoke about our Master's Golf Raffle, taking place on October 27th, when we will pull the winning ticket. We are currently 34 tickets away from being sold out, please try to get these last tickets sold.
Ernie Schaefer then spoke to the club about Paul Harris fellows, and how you can purchase and/or earn a Paul Harris award. For each dollar given to Rotary, you earn one recognition point. You can utilize these recognition points to purchase Paul Harris awards. Questions about this process, reach out directly to Ernie.
President Wayne discussed how our club is adapting to this new normal, and asked for the clubs help to brainstorm how we can rise up out of the ashes to resume our good work in the community.
President Wayne then inducted a new member into the club, Kelly Messing-Mirabito. Welcome to the club Kelly, congratulations!
BIRTHDAYS AND CLUB ANNIVERSARIES
We had two birthdays this week, David Blair and Vern Pixley, both on May 3rd..
We also had one anniversary, Ethan Hoffman, May 9th (3 years).
Juliane Morian then spoke to the club about the Rochester Hills Public Library. Specifically, how the library has shifted to a virtual library experience, and the priorities that they are focusing on to enhance their virtual offering to the community.
