President Wayne Hodges opened the virtual meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, then we recited the modified Four Way Test.  The invocation was given by David Eardley, giving thanks for the day, and asking God's help for us to continue to respond as Rotarians should to this crisis.  Virtual lunch was served.

There were 43 Rotarians present, and two guests:  David Shellenbarger and Kelly Messing-Mirabito.

President Wayne announced to the club that Jeff Whitbey earned the 15th logon (handshake) this week, enjoy the week without fines Jeff!
There were many virtual happy bucks given during the meeting, please take a look at the recorded Zoom meeting to see!
Vince Mattina was happy to have his convertible out of storage, just in time for winter to come back...
John Somerville was happy to be able to enjoy the beautiful weather this past weekend.

President Wayne discussed how our club is adapting to this new normal, and asked for the clubs help to brainstorm how we can rise up out of the ashes to resume our good work in the community.
President Wayne then inducted a new member into the club, Kelly Messing-Mirabito.  Welcome to the club Kelly, congratulations!
We had two birthdays this week, David Blair and Vern Pixley, both on May 3rd..
We also had one anniversary, Ethan Hoffman, May 9th (3 years).

Juliane Morian then spoke to the club about the Rochester Hills Public Library.  Specifically, how the library has shifted to a virtual library experience, and the priorities that they are focusing on to enhance their virtual offering to the community.  Thanks so much for sharing with us Juliane, we appreciate you and the library.
