President David Eardley opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, Four Way Test.
 
Rachel Aviles provided our invocation.
 
There were 48 members and 4 guests present.

HAPPY BUCKS
Ron Lichtle is happy to have the wisdom of Phil Lowman who provided him with great business advice. 
 
Renee Cortright is excited for the OPC's newsletter full of their upcoming events that has been sent out to all Rochester residents. 
 
Tim Duncan gave a $10 happy buck to celebrate the 10 years his family was blessed with their dog whom they rescued after he was found wandering the streets.

ROTARIAN OF THE WEEK
Tom Asmus bestowed the bejeweled trophy upon Marty McClure... congrats Marty!
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Steve Oehler announced that there are still tickets remaining for the Masters Raffle. See him for tickets or purchase them online. Buy them for your friends and family, encourage them to buy them!! We also need help with golf related donations for the auction being held on March 15th to coincide with the raffle. Use your connections with local golf courses for a twosome or foursome to be donated or any golf paraphernalia. Get creative! Time is flying by Rotatrians lets make this a huge success!!
 
Christine Hage asks anyone to reach out to her if you know of a 2 bedroom apartment, house, or condo for rent for 6 months to a year.

SHERIFF'S REPORT
Today's sheriff's report was brought to us by Peter Stuhlreyer who fined us in twos. All fines collected support Rotary Scholarships.  Thank you!
 
PROGRAM 
 
Rachel Aviles gave a tutorial on how to access Club Runner and secure it on your phone as well as a brief overview of our website. We also learned how to

Angela Delpup - Ascension providence Rochester 

  • Getting past the bulk of covid hopefully

  • Working on staffing

  • Organizing things that needed to be redirected for covid

  • A health provider that can provide any service you need

  • Part of a national health system

  • 4.9 million investment in angio lab replacement

  • 500k investment in emergency room 

    • Replacing curtains with glass doors

    • Special section for behavioral health patients

    • A lot of kids that are kept in the ER because they have no place go go

  • 1.5 million in patient care areas 

  • Medical director we are one of 7 sites in the united states that has CoroFLow that diagnoses the blood flow going through the tiny vessels . Right now most systems can only look at large veins which only shows about 10% of blood flow

  • Deep brain stimulation is a pacemaker for the brain that helps with parkinsons epilespcy and ocd treatment

    • Parkinsons patients have gotten back at least 6 hours of their day

  • Neurointerventional services - she had an aneurysm that almost doubled in size and no one would take her because shes too high risk. (always go to primary care physician) PCP helped her to cut smoking and get diabetes under control. She had surgery that ptu in tiny pieces of metal that blocks the aneurysm from bursting. Went home the next day

  • Pediatric specialty clinic - has cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology and more to come

  • Enhanced senior focus - 50% of patients are 65 and up

    • 4Ms What matters, medication, mentation, and mobility

  • Journey to Bronze Level Geriatiric ED Accreditation 

  • Training for mental health and creating a community of kindness to help get rid of mental health stigma. Hope to get 1 million acts of kindness by June
