President Wayne Hodges opened the virtual meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, then we recited the modified Four Way Test. The invocation was given by Jeff Whitbey, asking for strength to build bridges out of log jams. Virtual lunch was served.

Wayne Hodges gave the Rotarian of the Week award to Jay Eastman. Jay's humanitarian work is spot on, never ceasing. Congrats Jay!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Bill Ebinger gave an update on our gazebo project, we will have a picnic in the park on July 21st, we will be dedicating the new structure that day. We then inducted David Dulio from Oakland University, welcome to the club David!
President Wayne then read Rotary International's stance on current events, specifically their position on racism. There was unanimous support towards this statement:
President Wayne gave two Paul Harris awards to Steve Oehler and Ray Doerr. Both have been exceptional these past several years in working to keep this club going, and helping to streamline how it works. Thank you both, and congratulations!
BIRTHDAYS AND CLUB ANNIVERSARIES
We had three birthdays this week, Roger Roller June 21st, Annette Werner June 21st, and Dick Spiess June 25th. Happy birthday Rotarians!
We had one club anniversary, David Archbold June 25th, 18 years.
Dr. Robert Schaener was our presenter for the day, he spoke to us about our school system, and how the pandemic has changed delivery of education radically. The future of public education is being planned right now, with a focus on safety and fiscal responsibility. Thank you so much for your presentation Bob, great information.
