PROGRAM
Ron Lichtle introduced today’s speaker, Adam Weiner, originally from Texas, who served 12 years as a Navy SEAL.  He spoke about the grueling training process.  About 10% of Navy SEALS come from officers and 90% come from enlisted men.  Adam shared that it was one of the highlights of his life to be selected to become a Navy SEAL.  The training began with about 150 men in Basic Underwater Demolition School (BUD/S).  After three weeks, 100 men remained.  After the fourth week, known as “Hell Week,” 36 men remained.  BUD/S has three phases: Teamwork (8 weeks), Diving (8 weeks), and Land Warfare (9 weeks).  Completing this school then leads to Advanced Training.  Following Advanced Training, Platoon Life begins.  The Platoon Life Cycle is 24 months long including: Schooling (6 months), Unit Individual Training (6 months), Squadron Integration Training (6 months), and Deployment (6 months).  Adam spoke of the power of being part of a team through all of the training and deployment.  He talked about the necessity of all the training and the desire to do your best and give your best for your team members and for your country.  In his post-Navy SEALS life, he is a financial planner in Rochester.  Adam is married with three young children.  He then took a series of questions.  Thank you, Adam, for your service to our country, and for your great presentation today!

President Rodney adjourned the meeting at 1:30 p.m.
Anyone displeased about this summary, does them thereafter,
